It has been confirmed that from 1st April 2026, the National Living Wage (age 21+) will rise to £12.71/hour. 
The National Minimum Wage for 18-20 year olds will increase to £10.85/hour. 
For 16-17 year olds and apprentices will rise to £8/hour. 
As a payroll member, this will automatically be implemented for you as it is a legal requirement, therefore please ensure this is documented at council, for those affected employees, ahead of the new financial year.
